Galilei Chat
Direct messages, groups and team channels.
In development. Telephony is complete, but turning it on is not immediate: registering your number with the US carriers is a regulated filing measured in weeks. Lessons 05 and 06 explain it before you start.
Galilei Chat is internal messaging: the team among themselves and with the external professionals on a transaction. It is not the client channel, and that separation is half the course.
Three shapes of conversation
- Direct: you and one other person.
- Group: several people for something specific, usually a closing.
- Channel: the agency team, for whatever belongs to nobody in particular.
There is also a platform announcements channel, where what we announce shows up.
Who you can message
There is no open directory of the whole platform. You can write to whoever shares your agency, to an external professional linked to your agency, and to whoever accepted your invitation. That is all.
And it is checked on every message, not when the conversation opens. If a lender stops working with the agency, the thread you had open turns read-only with its notice right then. It does not keep accepting messages the other side should no longer receive.
The Pulse has a thread too
The morning briefing arrives as a direct message from The Pulse, and you can answer it right there. It is a real conversation, not a notification in disguise: that is why it lives in Chat and not on a screen of its own.
What that briefing brings and how to answer it is The Pulse course, here in Academy.
Details you notice in daily use
- Voice notes, attachments and emoji, for when typing with one hand in the car is not an option.
- Send a message with no signal and it goes out when signal returns, without duplicating even if the phone retries.
- Read state is tracked per conversation rather than message by message, so the counter tells you what is left, not what you already saw.
- You can block someone, and blocking overrides everything else.
